Results
Once the polling stations close at 10pm the ballot boxes will be taken to ExCeL London where the count will take place. Dozens of people will work through the night counting every vote for each election, under strict observation from scrutineers to ensure fairness throughout.
The parliamentary count will take place once the first boxes are received from the polling stations on Thursday 6 May, All boxes will be verified and then the count for the parliamentary election will commence.
On Friday 7 May at 10am the Mayoral count will begin. Once the Mayoral count is concluded the count for the local elections will begin and hopefully the result for the locals will be known early evening on 7 May 2010.
