Why vote?

Voting is your democratic right and is the primary way for you to engage and influence many different aspects of life. It gives you a say on the decisions made that affect you – everything from roads and recycling in your area, to the taxes you pay, the health and education systems and climate change.

When you vote, you choose a representative to make decisions on these and other issues on your behalf. If you want to have your say on who represents you, you have to vote.

The three elections taking place this year are more important than ever; make sure you are a part of the process to decide:

Remember –
your Mayor, council and government are here to run services for you, but unless you vote, your voice will never be heard!
